Job Description:

SUMMARY
This position will provide Surveillance Tech-Agent duties for Three Rivers Casino ~ Florence. Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain surveillance equipment, door access, intrusion detection and other low-voltage equipment as directed. Act in accordance with Surveillance Department, Tribal Gaming Commission and Tribal Employee Handbook personnel policies, operating procedures, minimum internal control standards and regulations while maintaining confidentiality over all Casino, Surveillance Department, Tribal Gaming Commission, and Tribal matters.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must maintain confidentiality over all Casino, Surveillance Department, Tribal Gaming commission and Tribal matters.
  • Act in accordance with Surveillance Department, Tribal Gaming Commission and Tribal Employee Handbook personnel policies, operating procedures, minimum internal control standards and regulations.
  • Train in all aspects of surveillance and casino topics to include, camera and equipment utilization and other necessary staff training or development.
  • Provide installation, maintenance, repair and ensure proper functioning of Surveillance equipment.
  • Utilizes necessary surveillance cameras, equipment and software to identify, record, document and report to the Surveillance Supervisor or Director any procedure violations, suspicious behavior and illegal activity, particularly on the gaming floor.
  • Install conduit raceways and firewall protection.
  • Design and install wire runs in and outside of the casino.
  • Calculate and adjust light levels and refraction angles for the best camera coverage available over all areas.
  • Complete hardware and computer programming changes and any other computer related surveillance equipment.
  • Assist with coordinating vendor repairs.
  • Maintain surveillance equipment service requirements, surveillance equipment inventory, parts, distribution of equipment, and accurate records of inventory, maintenance malfunctions and repairs.
  • Must possess computer knowledge as work in surveillance is computer/digital based.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain intrusion detection system, to include door sensors and panic alarms.
  • Assist with coordination jobs, work orders and vendors with other departments to ensure minimal disruptions to casino operations.Make suggestions and recommendations as appropriate to the Surveillance Supervisor.
  • Attend mandatory and non-mandatory training, meetings and briefings.
  • Maintain open communications with the Surveillance Department and other entities as directed.
  • Must maintain a general knowledge of department and casino operations.
  • Must maintain fundamental knowledge of Gaming Commission regulations and minimum internal control standards and Title 31 requirements as they apply to the surveillance department and its required video coverage.
  • Maintain appearance standards as outlined in CTCLUSI policies.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Maintain a good attendance record.

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and differing shifts as hours are determined by a 24-hour, 7 day per week casino operation schedule, and are subject to change with minimal notice.
  • Will occasionally be required to be the "on-call" person, work various shifts that may lead into double shifts and work in high pressure and intense situations.
  • The employee will use power equipment including but not limited to man lifts, saws, pipe benders, etc.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to tobacco smoke and dust.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Some projects require occasional work to be done in adverse weather conditions and use of ladders and man lifts at elevated positions.
  • Due to the dynamic nature of this position, job duties and responsibilities can change without notice.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS

  • The employee will frequently sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and work at extreme heights, which require a lot of overhead use of arms and tools.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 75 pounds.

Experience and Skills:

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associates degree in electronics or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one-year experience in electronics repair and installation; or equivalent combination of related education, specialized training and technical experience.
  • Four years of surveillance/casino experience is preferred.
  • Education and experience in Audio/Video and or CCTV fields preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Must have problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a six-month probationary.
  • Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
  • This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing and criminal history background check which may include fingerprinting.
  • Must obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Gaming Commission.
  • Must be able to pass a Gaming Commission background and work history check.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Indian preference will be observed in the hiring process.
