Job Description:

SUMMARY

Responsible for enforcing tribal rules and policies as well as investigating criminal activities in and around the casino and tribal property. Generates written reports on all incidents as directed by the tribal security policies and procedures. Ensures the safety and wellbeing of all tribal members, guests and team members and the protection of tribal assets.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure theon duty MOD and the Manager in charge of Security is informed of all matters that affect the company, department or personnel in a timely manner
  • Learn, comprehend and comply with all tribal policies and procedures, TICS, Gaming Regulations and requirements.
  • Participate in security operations on a day to day basis as well as special events.
  • Provide protection to tribal members, Team Members, customers, and tribal property.
  • Monitor all activities for unauthorized removal of property.
  • Write detailed reports on accidents, administer first aid, and provide assistance as required.
  • Enforce all Tribal, City, County, State, and Federal Laws and/or Ordinances where applicable.
  • Inspect fire suppression equipment on a daily basis.
  • Inspect all areas for safety and fire hazards; file reports on same.
  • Write detailed reports and maintain records regarding incidents of theft, injury, property damage etc.
  • Guard the drop cart and ensure ‘hot’ cans are handled as required by the TICS.
  • During the drop, ensure that hot and cold cans are not mixed, remain with the drop cart/trolley at all times, receive full drop cans, dispense empty drop cans, and provide all radio communication between the drop team and surveillance.
  • Transport Team Members to drug and alcohol testing, as requested.
  • Understand and work within the department’s "Chain of Command".
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with all departments, including needed property or service concerns.
  • Integrate the Three Rivers brand purpose into all processes, communications and guest/team member experiences.
  • Maintain awareness of, and effectively communicate to other staff, property-wide/company promotions, events and programs. Keep fellow team members/guests informed regarding the direction of the organization.
  • Ensure that all fellow team members will adhere to and deliver Superior Guest services striving to exceed our internal and external guest expectations.
  • Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities & marketing programs to our guests.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job the team member is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with arms, climb or balance, stoop, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. These actions are often repetitive in nature.
  • The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include but are not limited to close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Experience and Skills:

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill or abilities required.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must obtain and maintain current BLS CPR and First Aid (or higher) certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the Confederated Tribes.
  • Must have High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience preferred in one of the following areas:
    • Security, First Responder, EMT, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Military
  • Must know and apply current policies and procedures for Security Department as well as other Casino Departments where applicable.
  • Must have good public relations skills; professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to independently analyze, trouble shoot and resolve problems.
  • Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must have computer skill for the purpose of writing reports.
  • Must possess current OLCC Servers Permit.
  • Must possess current Food Handlers card.
  • Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
  • This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing and criminal history background check which may include fingerprinting.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must receive and maintain a valid high security gaming license from the Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Indian preference will be observed in the hiring process.
